Alexandra Events has launched Dindi Directory, a new online resource designed to help fire-affected residents find support and to make it easier for businesses and organisations to offer practical assistance.
The directory is an outcome of the Community Fire Response Working Group, facilitated by Murrindindi Shire Council, and was developed to improve coordination and visibility of support following the January 2026 Longwood bushfires.
In the aftermath of the fires, there has been a strong outpouring of goodwill from across the region and beyond. Local businesses, service providers, community groups, and individuals have all stepped forward with offers of help. Dindi Directory brings those offers together in one simple, central place.
The directory lists current and upcoming offers of support, including practical services, donations, and community initiatives available across Alexandra and surrounding districts. It is designed to support both immediate needs and the longer transition into recovery.
Caolan O’Connor, Chair of Alexandra Events, said the directory was created to support both people seeking help and those offering it.
โWe were seeing a huge amount of generosity and willingness to help, but it was scattered across social media, phone calls, and informal networks,โ Mr OโConnor said.
โDindi Directory is about making that support easier to find and easier to coordinate. It gives people impacted by the fires a clear place to look, and it gives businesses and organisations a simple way to make their offers visible to the community.โ
Mr OโConnor said the directory would continue to evolve as recovery progresses.
โThis is very much a community-first resource. As needs change over time, the directory can change with them. Itโs about supporting people not just in the immediate aftermath, but through the longer recovery journey as well.โ
Businesses and organisations are encouraged to list their offers of support, while impacted residents can browse the directory to see what assistance is currently available.
Dindi Directory is now live at:

Alexandra Events encourages the community to share the directory widely to help it reach those who may benefit.
