Following the Longwood bushfires of January 2026, Murrindindi Shire has experienced devastating losses. Across the region, 190 homes were destroyed, a further 10 were significantly damaged, and 519 other structures were impacted. The fires also destroyed 3,840 kilometres of fencing and affected more than 24,000 head of livestock (assessments are ongoing, so numbers may change).

Your donation helps families and landholders across Murrindindi begin the long road to recovery.

Gifts are put to work immediately, supporting practical, locally identified needs. Primarily, it will be used to support farmers who have uninsured or underinsured fencing, so that they can get their stock back on the land ASAP. From there, we will consider access to hay and fodder, agistment costs, and other critical recovery expenses.
